NEW YORK (PIX11) – A lot of New Yorkers are really feeling lucky as the Powerball jackpot continues to climb.
Nine Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were sold throughout the state for the Sept. 1 drawing, three from Capital Region stores, according to lottery officials. The Powerball drawing on Aug. 30 also spawned nine third-prize winners.
Here’s where those prize-winning tickets were sold:
Bronx
- UMK Inc., located at 5582 Broadway
Queens
- Speedway #07816, located at 80-07 Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood
Long Island
- 7-Eleven #11192, located at 655 Route 25A in Kings Park
Northern Suburbs
- Joe’s Kwik Marts #494, located at 5300 Main St. in Buffalo
- Tops Markets #359, located at 800 W. Genesee St. in Chittenango
- Cliff’s Local Market #601, located at 20 Central Ave. in Ilion
- Stewart’s Shops #315, located at 51 Luther Forest Blvd. in Mechanicville
- Stewart’s Shops #101, located at 402 Lake Ave. in Saratoga Springs
- Stewart’s Shops #356, located at 127 Congress St. in Troy
Three tri-state ticketbuyers also won $1 million in Monday night’s drawing – two in New Jersey and one in New York. The drawn numbers were 8, 23, 25, 40 and 53 with a Powerball of 5 and a Power Play multiplier of 3.
The jackpot has reached $1.3 billion ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing, with a cash value of $589 million.
