3 men charged after woman shot during fight at an apartment complex in Burlington, police say

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — Three people have been charged in connection to a shooting in Burlington this month, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

At around 12:08 a.m. on Oct. 1, officers came to the 1300 block of Beaumont Court after getting a report of a shooting.

At the scene, police found a 33-year-old woman who had been shot during a fight in the area of the Beaumont Avenue Apartments.

She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

Tyrrill Lamar Oliver, 33, and Khristopher Sean Walker, 28, were identified as participants in the fight.

Both have been charged with accessory after the fact to assault, inflicting serious injury.

On Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at a home on Denise Drive in Burlington as part of the ongoing investigation.

As a result, Demonte Raekwon Fuller, 29, was charged with:

  • Possession with Intent to Sell and Distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with Intent to Sell and Distribute within 1,000 Feet from a Child Care Center
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, inflicting Serious Injury
  • attempted assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury

He was taken to Alamance County Jail and received no bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
