2 San Jose officers injured in shooting, suspect also injured, police say

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — The San Jose Police Department says two officers were injured in a shooting late Thursday night.

According to a tweet sent by the department, the officers were responding to a disturbance on San Ignacio Avenue when a person shot at them.

Two officers were hit. Officers fired back at the alleged shooter.

Both the officers and the suspect were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.

During the investigation, San Ignacio Avenue has been closed from Bernal Road to Great Oaks Boulevard. Westbound Bernal Road is closed from Monterey Road to San Ignacio Avenue.
