2 people killed in crash involving motorcycle in Dunn

DUNN, N.C. (WTVD) — Two people are dead after a crash involving a motorcycle on Saturday night.

Emergency officials responded to calls about a crash just before 9:45 p.m. on Meadowlark Road.

When officials arrived, they found a pickup truck on the opposite side of the road with its front end toward a ditch. ABC11 crews said the truck had heavy damage.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said a pickup truck was speeding and hit two people on a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle Robert Curtis Hair, 43, and passenger Chelsey Anne Bowden of Dunn died from their injuries.

Authorities said charges are pending following the crash.
