(KRON) — Police in San Jose are investigating a shooting that killed two men early Sunday morning in the city’s downtown area, according to authorities.
The San Jose Police Department responded at 2:20 a.m. to the 100 block of Paseo de San Antonio on the report of a shooting. Arriving officers found two men suffering from at least one gunshot wound each. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identities of the men were not immediately released.
Police called the shooting an “isolated incident.” The circumstances surrounding the double fatal shooting are still under investigation. No arrests were announced as of 9 a.m.
The deaths mark the second and third homicides in San Jose in 2026.
