2 in critical condition following car crash in Greenwich

GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An investigation is underway following a car crash that injured four people in Greenwich early Sunday morning, according to the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department. The incident reportedly occurred on Eddy Street.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 12:40 a.m. and found debris in the road and a single car that had run into a tree, police said. Eddy Street was shut down in both directions from Cambridge Road and Colonel Baume Road.

A preliminary investigation reportedly determined that four people were in the car at the time of the crash. Two occupants were airlifted to area hospitals and are in stable but critical condition, according to police. The other two were taken to the hospital by private car and have since been released with minor injuries.
