2 dead, juvenile rescued in San Joaquin County boat accident

LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT. HEATHER, THANK YOU SO MUCH. AND THIS MORNING TWO PEOPLE ARE DEAD AFTER A BOATING INCIDENT IN THE DELTA. THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THIS HAPPENED JUST NORTH OF TOWER PARK MARINA. THIS IS OFF OF HIGHWAY 12 WEST OF INTERSTATE FIVE. AND THAT’S WHERE WE FIND KCRA 3’S ERIN HEFT AND AARON. WHAT DO WE KNOW SO FAR? LETICIA, AS OF THIS MORNING, WE KNOW THAT THE SOLE SURVIVOR OF THIS BOATING ACCIDENT THAT TOOK THE LIVES OF TWO HERE IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ON THE WATER YOU SEE BEHIND ME IS A CHILD. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO. THIS AS OUR KCRA THREE CREWS ROLLED UP ON THE INVESTIGATION AS IT WAS UNDERWAY YESTERDAY EVENING, ACCORDING TO THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, IT WAS SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN RESPONDERS RECEIVED A CALL REGARDING A BOATING ACCIDENT HERE ON THE DELTA. DEPUTIES ARRIVED AND IMMEDIATELY RETRIEVED TWO FROM THE WATER. AN ADULT AND A CHILD AND THE ADULT DIED FROM THEIR MAJOR INJURIES. HERE AT THE SCENE, BUT THE CHILD SURVIVED. BUT THERE WAS AN ADDITIONAL PERSON STILL UNACCOUNTED FOR, AND IT TOOK DEPUTIES SEVERAL HOURS TO FIND THAT PERSON WHO WAS ULTIMATELY FOUND DEAD. BACK OUT HERE, LIVE IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY. THE INVESTIGATION STILL VERY MUCH UNDERWAY, AND THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS STILL UNANSWERED BECAUSE THIS CAME IN AS A SOLO BOATING ACCIDENT. SO ONE BOAT IN TOTAL INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT, TWO DEAD, ONE CHILD SURVIVED. BUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE THREE STILL NOT REPORTED BY FIRST RESPONDERS. WE STILL DON’T KNOW THE AGE

A San Joaquin County boating accident on Saturday left two people dead, according to the sheriff’s office. A juvenile was rescued. Just before 5 p.m. the solo accident was reported just north of Tower Park Marina, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said. Three people were pulled out of the water, according to the sheriff’s office. One of them, a juvenile survived, but an adult had suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was later pulled from the water deceased.
