1. ERASERHEAD (1977)

Henry resides alone in a bleak apartment surrounded by industrial gloom in Eraserhead. When he discovers that an earlier fling with Mary X left her pregnant, he marries the expectant mother and has her move in with him. Things take a strange turn when the couple’s baby becomes a bizarre lizard-like creature that won’t stop wailing. One film fanatic claims that Eraserhead is an experience you won’t forget.

Beau Is Afraid is one of those movies that might leave you sitting there without any idea what you just watched. It clocks in at three hours long and sometimes feels like three different movies. In the time of silent films, an injured stuntman is in the hospital and tells stories to a little girl who is also there recovering. As he tells the stories, she imagines them in brilliant detail. The Fall is beautiful, artistic, and complete with a wonderful story.
