1 seriously injured in crash on I-70 exit ramp

DENVER (KDVR) — One person was extricated and taken to the hospital after a crash on the frontage road near Holly Street and Interstate 70.

At around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, SkyFOX flew over a crash near the highway that involved a semi and an RV.

The Denver Fire Department confirmed to FOX31 that they responded to a “pretty significant” crash and had to extricate one patient.

The Denver Police Department said officers were investigating the crash on the westbound exit ramp. DPD said the crash involved two drivers, and one was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the I-70 frontage road was closed and North Holly Street was closed in both directions. There is no estimate on when the roads will be reopened, but police expect delays to last in the area.
