A modular home at Sunny and Kingsley roads in San Joaquin County became fully involved, leaving one person dead, the Montezuma Fire Protection District said.
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — A person died after a house fire Saturday just outside Stockton, officials said.
Emergency personnel arrived at the fully-involved modular, single-family home around 12:50 a.m. at Sunny and Kingsley roads, according to the Montezuma Fire Protection District.
One person died from the fire, per first responders. Two adults and a child also in the home at the time are reportedly safe.
Red Cross is offering help to surviving family members, the Montezuma Fire Protection District said.
The fire’s cause is under investigation by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s fire investigator, officials said.
