1 dead after car goes off Interstate 5 and overturns in Woodland

YOLO COUNTY, Calif. — One person is dead after a car went off Interstate 5 and overturned in Woodland.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported around 6:30 p.m. along Interstate 5, north of County Road 103. 

Police said the car went off the roadway and into a field before overturning.

Despite efforts from first responders to save the driver, they died at the scene.

It’s not clear whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
