PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A two-car crash on Hwy 24 claimed the life of a 37-year-old Reedsport woman on Friday, authorities said.
The crash took place near milepost 27 in Coos County just before 10:45 a.m.
According to Oregon State Police, Heather Leach, 37, was driving east in a Chevrolet 1500 when she lost control and spun into the westbound lane, striking a Ford F-350 head-on.
Leach was declared dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Ford were injured and taken to the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation.
