One person was killed and another injured after a Corvette collided with a wrecker Thursday evening in east Grand Prairie, police say.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. in the 3900 block of East Main Street, police said in a news release Friday. A Dodge Ram flatbed wrecker towing two vehicles was trying to make a left turn when it was hit by a speeding Corvette.
The driver of the wrecker was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to police. The driver of the Corvette died at the scene.
The crash is under investigation, police said. The Dallas County Medical Examiner will publicly identify the man who died pending notification of next of kin.
