Seattle Police responded to 911 calls shortly after 1pm to a home in the 4400 block of SW Hudson Street south of the West Seattle junction to reports of a shooting.
According to Detective Brian Pritchard the Press Information Officer on the scene, a 57 year old woman had been shot suffering multiple wounds. When EMT’s arrived she was pronounced dead at the scene.
He said three people were involved and that the investigation was now in the hands of Homicide Detectives.
A neighbor said she heard “two really loud gunshots” around that time and another said the resident of the home had previously displayed a large flag outside the house.
Reporters on the scene asked if this was an eviction in process but this was not confirmed by police.
