Woman dies in hospital after sustaining major injuries in Modesto fire

(FOX40.COM) — A woman who sustained major injuries to a large portion of her body from a fire in Modesto died on Saturday, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 4, detectives responded to the 1900 block of Robertson Road in Modesto where they found a woman with major burns to 80% of her body.

She was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Multiple people located at the scene were detained and interviewed by law enforcement as they worked to determine if the incident was intentional or not.

The sheriff’s office will release the identity of the woman once next of kin have been notified.
