Wet Wednesday, Warm & Sunny Easter Weekend Ahead – WCCB Charlotte’s CW

[ad_1]

Highs will approach 80° by Easter Sunday.

Happy Hump Day! Showers and storms continue to roll along and southeast of I-85 this morning; this is where the highest rain chances will be throughout the day. We have a slow-moving area of low pressure to thank for the soggy start to the day. A separate cold front will do its best to clear the moisture out of the WCCB Charlotte viewing area by the afternoon, but our eastern counties may continue to see off-and-on rain into the evening. Thick cloud cover will make it difficult for temperatures to get out of the 50s along and northwest of I-85 today; areas southeast may approach 70°.

Abundant sunshine returns for most around the Metro and westward by Thursday afternoon. Highs will steadily rise throughout the remainder of the workweek into Easter weekend. Temperatures may crack 80° for only the second time this year in the Queen City for our Easter Sunday. The taste of summer continues into the first half of next week to kick off April.

Today: Rain, mainly SE. High: 60°. Wind: NE 5-15.

Tonight: Few showers early, then clearing. Low: 50°. Wind: NE 5-15. Gusts: 20+.

Thursday: Sunny and breezy. High: 67°. Wind: N 10-20. Gusts: 25+

Thursday Night: Clear and cold. Low: 39°. Wind: NW 5-10.

Friday: Comfy sunshine. High: 72°. Wind: NW 5-15. Gusts: 20+
