Members of the group Rethinkthelink.org, who oppose the implementation as thus far devised of Sound Transit’s link light rail West Seattle extension invite you to “Walk the Route” on June 9.

In emails to WestsideSeattle members of the group confirm that King County Executive Dow Constantine reached out to the Sound Transit Board, which he heads requesting a community forum regarding their preferred path for the rail line. The final Environmental Impact Statement is due in the next few weeks.

While not opposed to light rail as a means of mass transit the group has specific objections to what they say are the impacts the current plan will have.

The tour is scheduled to start Sunday, June 9 at 10am in the West Seattle Health Club parking lot at 2629 SW Andover Street.

You can walk with a group or take the tour self guided.
