WeBull Review

Webull is a mobile app-based brokerage that offers commission-free stock and exchange-traded fund trading as well as cryptocurrency trading. It first launched in 2017 and it is now one of the most popular trading apps. It’s regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Webull offers active traders technical indicators, economic calendars, ratings, margin trading and short-selling.

The stock market is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. With extended hours trading, you can also place trades from 4 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Some o fthe things to keep in mind when looking at WeBull, is that it does not offer joint brokerage accounts, education savings accounts, or mutual funds. It also doesn’t have an automated investing account option. So if you don’t plan to do be a somewhat active investor, you may need to consider other platforms.

Sign Up Process

Opening a new WeBull account is quick and easy. To be able to open an account, you are required to provide proof of identity and proof of residency. This process is completely digital. Once registration and the account opening process are done, you will first need to transfer the minimum deposit to your brokerage account from your bank account to be able to start trading. There is no minimum deposit required by Webull. There is a $2,000 minimum requirement for margin accounts.

Fees

While WeBull advertises no-fee trading, there are fees involved. There are no account maintenance fees, and no minimum balance required. Webull’s trading fees are low which makes it suitable for you even if you are an active trader.

Most brokers still charge a per-contract commission for buying and selling options. Webull doesn’t. There are no assignment or exercise fees, either. That makes Webull one of the best choices for options trading.

While WeBull doesn’t charge trading fees, you still have to pay SEC and FINRA fees, which you would pay with any other brokerage. These fees are pretty inconsequential, with SEC fees being $23.10 per million dollars of trading volume, and FINRA fees are $0.000119 per share.

WeBull Free Stocks: Guru’s Wrap-up

Webull is already one of the main trading apps available, possibly the second most popular after Robinhood. It offers some features that Robinhood doesn’t have and it has a nice app interface with lots of information readily available. I use it somewhat frequently myself, and if you’re a U.S. citizen with beginner to intermediate trading experience, and looking at U.S. stocks and ETFs, WeBull should be a good choice.
