Forecast:
Tonight: Storms chances increase from west to east after midnight. Mostly cloudy, warm and windy. See severe threat details below:

Overnight / Wednesday AM Severe Threat:
TIMING:

  • Storms will move into the mountains as early as midnight.
  • Storms will move through the area from west to east arriving in Charlotte around 4 am.
  • Storms exit our southeastern counties by 8 am.

IMPACTS:

  • Isolated wind damage is possible and is the greatest threat.
  • Isolated tornadoes are also possible
  • Hail is also possible (Quarter + size)

Wednesday: AM showers and storms. Clouds decrease through the afternoon. Windy with gusts up to 30 mph. Much cooler temperatures build in behind the front with lows near 40.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and below average. Highs near 60.

Friday: Sunny and cool. Highs near 60.
