CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team issued a Weather Alert for scattered strong thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening.
Showers will arrive during the morning commute. Scattered thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon and early evening. We don’t expect widespread severe weather. We do expect some heavy downpours (which could cause street flooding), gusty wind, and lightning strikes at times.

High temperatures will be in the mid 70s to 80 degrees. Showers and a few storms are likely through 9 p.m. It will be humid!
Thursday night will gradually clear with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Friday looks to be a mix of sun and clouds with the chance for some scattered showers. High temperatures in the low 80s. The weekend also has a chance for scattered showers.
