Warm Start to Workweek – WCCB Charlotte’s CW

[ad_1]

An isolated shower or storm may pop up at times, but we’ll stay dry for most of the week ahead.

Sunny skies and toasty highs have made themselves at home in the Carolinas this Sunday afternoon, and the good times will keep on rolling into the workweek. Expect temperatures to soar into the mid-to-upper 80s across the Piedmont and Foothills on Monday as southwesterly winds continue to pump warm air into our area. More clouds will build in later in the day as a weak frontal system to our north sags southward. A few showers and even a storm may pop up overnight into Tuesday, but most locations remain dry. Highs remain in the mid-80s around the Metro despite mostly cloudy skies for the second day of the workweek.

Another system approaches from the west by Wednesday night, but rain chances remain isolated at best. Mostly sunny skies return to the WCCB Charlotte viewing area by Thursday; some communities south and east of the Metro may see their first 90° day of the year. The toasty temperatures carry into the first half of next weekend before a third storm system arrives by Sunday, bringing scattered rain and cooler air.
