Victoria Beckham has just launched not one, but three luxury perfumes that will 100% turn heads

Now this is a bit more like me. San Ysidro Drive is the fun middle child of the VB fragrance family. With notes of passion fruit, pink peony, ocean air infused with rose absolute, saffron flower, and agarwood, it’s certainly an eclectic mixture of notes. But it truly embodies Victoria Beckham’s transformative phase in Los Angeles – just as it was intended to – and we’re vicariously living a Posh Spice summer with each spritz.
This fragrance evokes that signature slow pace of Californian life, from meditative hikes in the canyons to ocean air blowing through your hair and the comforting scent of burning candles at home. But the real magic lies in the warm base notes.
Road test: I sprayed San Ysidro Drive first thing in the morning to channel those positive ‘fresh start to a new day’ vibes. The initial rush of passion fruit and pink peony gave way to tranquil, oceanic freshness, even though I was facing the busy streets of London. By dusk, it had evolved into the type of comforting aroma that feels like a hug in a bottle.
Victoria Beckham Suite 302 review: at a glance
- GLAMOUR star rating: ⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Reasons to buy: Punchy, smoky, rich
- Reasons to avoid: Raw and for some, too overpowering
- Price: 50ml £170, 100ml £245
- Our verdict: Want to smell expensive and like a timeless family heirloom that will be passed down generations? Try this scent.
Suit 302 is the confident older sister to San Ysidro Drive. With notes of black cherry, red peppercorn, midnight violet and musk, it’s designed to transport you to the Parisian hotel where Victoria and David celebrate their wedding anniversaries.
It’s certainly a big and opulent scent, which I usually gravitate towards, but surprisingly, it has to be said that this is my least favourite perfume of the bunch. The notes feel too isolated rather than blending seamlessly into one another, which can make the finished product feel a little too raw and overpowering at times. This is especially true of the smoky and leather notes – they feel too intense, like a designer leather jacket that has absorbed the smell of too many Cuban cigars.
Road test: Suite 302 is definitely a night time scent. It turns heads, yes, but it felt overpowering on my wrists as the smoky elements lingered for longer than I would have liked. The blend of black cherry, red peppercorn, and musk do create an aura of intrigue, though and hours later, the fragrance had transformed into something unexpectedly velvety and sensual.
The Final Verdict
Each fragrance is a beautifully crafted memory. But like all good perfumes, Victoria Beckham’s collection is also very evocative so each one transports you to a different time and place and allows you to create memories of your own. The longevity of these fragrances on the skin is impressive, ensuring that your chosen scent will accompany you throughout your day or evening, and I personally think it’s worth experiencing each one for yourself.
