Tobacco smoke has long been known to be a risk factor for erectile dysfunction.
Now, a new study has shown that Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) are also associated with erectile dysfunction, independent or age, cardiovascular disease, or other risk factors. It found that those who used e-cigarettes were 2.4 times more likely to experience ED than non-smokers.
The research was part of the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) study, which examines various tobacco use behaviors and health outcomes.
The study provides a strong incentive for men to avoid vaping or e-cigarette use, as well as other forms or tobacco.
