UnitedHeathcare, Duke Health reach multi-year agreement

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — UnitedHealthcare has reached an agreement with Duke Health that ensures continued network access to Duke Hospitals, facilities and its physicians.

This agreement is for people enrolled in the following plans:

• UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored commercial plans, including UMR
• UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans, including our Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) and Group Retiree

The agreement was reached prior to an expired contract, ensuring there would be no disruptions to in-network care at Duke.

Officials with UnitedHealthcare also said that their new relationship with Duke expands to care for people enrolled in Medicaid plans, including hospitals, facilities and physicians. This expansion begins on Nov. 1.
