Fans have been hungry for new music from British pop talents Sugababes for some time, with the release of the trio’s unreleased collection The Lost Tapes only whetting appetites more. The group, made up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, deliver a further treat to fans with new single When the Rain Comes.

Produced and penned by George Moore with co-writers Iain James, and the performers themselves, When the Rain Comes is a delicious grooving mid-tempo that celebrates the impeccable vocals of the pop trio, allowing each of their vocal stylings time to shine. Singing of a resilient, committed love, the Sugababes croon “Will you be there in the thunder?, Through the storm, Will you run or will you be there when the rain comes?”

The UK pop trio share: “We loved being back in the studio and writing this song this summer, and it feels like the perfect song to release to coincide with our biggest headline show to date. This song is a celebration of the people in our lives who stand by us and lift us up through the good and bad times. The three of us have been that for each other over the years, and we felt there was no better way to mark this moment in our journey than with this song.”

When the Rain Comes is expected to feature on the Sugababes’ upcoming 2024 BMG released album.
