I can’t believe it,” said Mary Ocel, a local resident.Many shoppers were left in disbelief by the unusual theft. “It’s insanity,” Ocel added. “I’ve never heard of anyone stealing calculators. That’s probably a first time for me.”The investigation revealed that the theft was not an isolated incident. The two men are accused of stealing graphing calculators from stores in Eagan, Apple Valley, West Saint Paul, and other locations. In total, they allegedly hit seven stores, making off with nearly $20,000 worth of calculators.”That’s just kind of like, surprising to me. Out of all things, calculators would not be on the list of things people would steal,” said Kamila Rustamova, another local resident.According to the police report, the authorities believe the two men are from Texas and are part of a theft ring.
