Two arrested in Clayton shooting of 14-year-old boy and woman

Two people have been arrested in connection with a July 23 shooting that injured a 14-year-old boy and a woman.
Clayton police responded to a report of a gunshot victim around 3 a.m. on Pond Street and Durham Street.
Shortly after, officers responded to another gunshot victim call on Joyner Street.
A 14-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and taken to WakeMed where his condition remains serious.
The second victim, identified as 28-year-old Andrea Joi Bailey, suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and was also taken to WakeMed.
Police determined the shooting took place at a home in the 900 block of Pond Street.
Amory Gregory Grant, 33, and Kenneth Goode, 29, were arrested in connection with the shooting.
Grant faces charges of the following:
- Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury
- First-degree burglary
- Discharging a weapon into occupied property
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
He is being held without bond.
Goode faces two counts of conspiracy to commit AWDWIKISI and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary.
His bond is set at $320,000.
