Trump Spent Monday Ranting About Whales, Football, and the Forbes 400 List

As unimaginable horrors took place in Israel, Donald Trump used a speech on Monday in New Hampshire to rant about topics of great importance like…weight lifting and the New England Patriots. And, of course, various groups and individuals he believes have wronged him.

Speaking to a crowd at a performing arts center in Wolfeboro, the ex-president used the first hour of his time, according to Politico, for critiques of:

…the Wall Street Journal editorial page (“globalists”), for windmills (“we see whales washing up on shore”); for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (“He’s fallen like a wounded bird from the skies”) and his indictments (“a great badge of honor”); for transgender athletes (“Have you seen the weight lifting records?”) and even for one of the region’s most cherished institutions: the New England Patriots (“not a good game” Sunday).

The attack on Israel may have been consuming much of official Washington. But in the small auditorium…where Trump rallied his base of voters on Monday, it was not topic one, two or even 13. In all, it took Trump over an hour to spend any significant amount of time discussing the fighting that erupted in the Middle East following the murder of an estimated 900 Israelis.

Once he did turn to Israel, Trump blamed Joe Biden for the atrocities that have unfolded. Then, after tossing off an evidence-free claim that Hamas may be entering the US via the Mexico border and could launch an attack inside the country, he spent his remaining time riffing on his go-to topics: “the Deep State” and Hillary Clinton, because apparently it’s still 2016. According to NY1, Trump spent less than 10 minutes of his speech on the war.

Also on Monday, the former guy took the time to respond to Forbes reporting that he had fallen off the publication’s annual list of the richest people in America, with a post on Truth Social that seemed to bizarrely suggest that the outlet is in cahoots with the New York attorney general to take him down:
