Tropicana Field’s roof blown off during Hurricane Milton

SEEN OUTSIDE OF TONY’S LIVE SHOT, THE HOME OF THE TAMPA BAY, RAISE THE ROOF SPECIFICALLY. YEAH, OUR SPORTS ANCHOR, SPORTS DIRECTOR, DAREN STOLZFUS JOINS US NOW IN STUDIO DAREN. THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE STADIUM ANYWAY, BUT THAT MAY HAVE SPED THINGS UP. YEAH, AND IT’S NOT JUST THE HOME OF THE TAMPA BAY RAYS. THIS WAS ACTUALLY A SHELTER OVER IN SAINT PETE. AND YES, THEY DO HAVE AN AGREEMENT FOR A NEW BALLPARK, BUT THEY STILL HAVE NOT BROKEN GROUND. THAT’S STILL YEARS AWAY. THIS CERTAINLY MAY HAVE SPED THINGS UP. WE’VE BEEN WATCHING THE LIVE FEED OF THIS JUST BEEN ABSOLUTELY TRANSFIXED. BUT HOW ABOUT THIS VIDEO FROM ONE OF OUR VIEWERS? NICK FRIEDMAN, SHOT THIS. YOU CAN SEE PORTIONS OF THAT TEFLON COATED FIBERGLASS BLOWING IN THE WIND. HAD TO LOOK IT UP BECAUSE IT’S NOT REALLY IT’S NOT A TARP. IT’S STRONGER THAN THAT. BUT WE’VE SEEN PORTIONS JUST GET BLOWN OFF FLOATING THROUGH THE NIGHT SKY AND REMEMBER, LOOK, THIS IS HOW THE TROP WAS SET UP. SET UP AS A TEMPORARY SHELTER FOR FIRST RESPONDERS. THIS IS VIDEO FROM EARLIER IN THE WEEK. IF WE CAN TAKE THAT, IT WILL SHOW THE FIELD LINED WITH COTS. GOVERNOR DESANTIS SAID 10,000 PEOPLE WERE USING THAT AS A BASE CAMP. IT CERTAINLY WE DON’T KNOW IF THERE WERE ANY INJURIES. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT THE SCENARIO IS AFTER THIS, BUT THAT’S A LOT OF BEDS. THAT’S A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE INSIDE THAT BUILDING. CERTAINLY DEALING WITH A LOT OF DAMAGE OVER THERE IN SAINT PETERSBURG. WE’LL HAVE MORE INFORMATION ON THAT AS WE GET IT. BUT FOR NOW, YOU CAN JUST SEE THE IMAGES. CERTAINLY NO BASEBALL BEING PLAYED THERE. THE BASEBALL PLAYOFFS ARE GOING ON RIGHT NOW, SO THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN A WHOLE LOT WORSE. OBVIOUSLY THEY WOULD HAVE MOVED THINGS PROBABLY, BUT YEAH, HARD TO WATCH SOME BASEBALL
