Mothers deserve to be celebrated, and time spent together is the most precious gift you can give–and receive. We’ve got ideas for shopping, culinary, wellness and outdoor-focused adventures to set off on with your family’s matriarch. Consider choosing a destination that offers a mix of it all like Palm Beach–just a quick jaunt across the state but worlds away.

Read on for more inspiration for where to fête mom now and every day.

Palm Beach, for a boutique break
Florida’s Gold Coast beckons for some of the country’s most unique luxury shopping. You’re spoiled for options in Palm Beach when it comes to oceanfront resorts for a decadent stay, but it’s hard to top The Breakers, where Sunday brunch clinking champagne in The Circle is a must. The resort is within easy striking distance of the island’s–and perhaps all of Florida’s–most legendary upscale shopping experience along Worth Avenue, home to couture boutiques and independent retailers.

Kick things off with lunch at French bistro Le Bilboquet, secluded down a gorgeous via, before settling in for some serious shopping. Whether you’re after fine art, heirloom jewelry or gently-used couture castoffs at the island’s luxury consignment shops, there’s a bit of everything to buy in Palm Beach. Other ideas for treating mom here include a spa day at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa’s 42,000-square-foot wellness oasis, pedaling a bike together past waterfront mansions along The Lake Trail and crossing the bridge to West Palm Beach for more retail therapy and cafe-hopping.

Turks and Caicos, for a luxurious, beachy escape
Relax with something festive and frosty in hand while water as clear as a Florida spring–but far balmier–laps at your feet in the sand-spun wonderland of Turks and Caicos. Book an oceanfront suite or one of the over-the-top Estate Villas–with private pools, outdoor showers and even your own personal chef on call–at The Shore Club on Providenciales. Beachside luxuriating along Long Bay is the only order of the day in a place made for kicking back. For early birds, there’s nothing like waking up early and grabbing a paddle board from the beach for a scenic glide atop waters as smooth and translucent as glass.

Amelia Island, for a wellness reset
We’re Gulf Coast lovers in Tampa. But something about the ocean on this barrier island along northeastern Florida’s Atlantic Coast feels healing by nature. And raw nature is right at your doorstep at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, where boardwalks lead through dunes populated by protected gopher tortoises down to one of Florida’s most pristine stretches of sand. The resort recently reimagined its spa, setting the stage for leveled-up wellness experiences that include a serene meditation space and hydrotherapy facilities as well as ancient therapies like the Japanese facial-lifting technique called Kobido, a new full-body red light therapy designed to soothe muscle tension and CBD-infused treatments and organic facials with Eminence products.

Greenville, South Carolina, for a soft adventure in the fresh air (featured at top)
Surprise your mother with an outdoorsy adventure with plenty of Southern charm and urban comfort in the mix by whisking her off to Greenville, South Carolina. Check into the Grand Bohemian Lodge for views of the city’s gorgeous Falls Park on the Reedy–a 32-acre park with a suspension bridge perfect for a stroll under springtime blossoms in the heart of town. Book a Sunday brunch at the buzzing rooftop restaurant Juniper, go biking along the Swamp Rabbit Trail or head out for a Sunday drive along the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway to visit sublime spots like Wildcat Falls, just a short drive from town.
