If you’re a frequent Trader Joe’s shopper, you’ll want to check your pantry if you recently purchased cookies from the beloved grocery store.

On Friday, July 21, Trader Joe’s issued a recall for two of its popular cookies: Almond Windmill Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies. According to Trader Joe’s, the grocer was alerted by its supplier that the cookies may contain rocks (yes, you read that correctly). The two cookies have subsequently been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

The recall affects the following specific cookie batches:

Trader Joe’s asks that anyone who has purchased or received donations of either product to not eat the cookies. Consumers should either discard the products or return them to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

If you’ve purchased one of these tubs of cookies and have questions, contact Trader Joe’s Customer Relations Team at (626) 599-3817 or send an email to the following link.
Thankfully, there are still plenty of Trader Joe’s desserts to choose from if you’re in need of a sweet treat to quell a cookie craving!
