TOXIC POSITIVITY : WHAT DO YOU THINK OF IT?

The phrase ” Toxic Positivity” refers to the concept of being positive and just positive.
We have all come across situations where we are heartbroken or crying ,basically in an emotionally stressful state and then there’s always that one person who keeps blabbering things like ” at least it is not the worst case scenario ” , “don’t cry” , “it could have been worse”
LIKE NO KAREN WHAT THE HELL . SHUT UP AND HOLD MY TEA!!
I agree that it could have been worse. I could be dead or unemployed or whatever the case is …but that doesn’t make my pain less .
It is like running away from your emotions. Why ?
If my loved ones are going through stressful time I would never ask them to stop crying . Nope , cry all your emotions out , that’s the only way you can go back to being your rational self .
Bottling up your emotions just to look strong is wrong { look how it just rhymed }
Being mentally strong DOES NOT mean ignoring that you are in pain – it means facing the cause of your pain . That takes hella courage which , ladies and gentlemen , makes you strong .
People now a days watch their favourite character on a show bottling up emotions and going on a rampage or murder spree , thinking “how cool it is to be stupid ” (no offense lol). As for me I watched Damon Salvatore do it and it felt like ” damn he is cool !”
Yeah it’s cool but just for the story plot not for you cupcakes .
I have been screaming through text Karens, ya’ll better note it down .
BEING IN PAIN OR BEING HURT DOES NOT MAKE YOU WEAK , IT MAKES YOU A HUMAN . FACING IT WITH A POSITIVE MINDSET MAKES YOU STRONG .
The positive mindset I am talking here is like ” I know I can face this because I trust myself ” so get your napkins ,cry it all out and rise again .
