Flexible Schedules, Low Tuition, Self-Paced Learning and an Unrelenting Desire to Empower Women as Professional Leaders and Strong Entrepreneurs

Press Release

updated: Mar 3, 2019

Mason Anthony School of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences is one of the most affordable, flexible and best-reviewed beauty schools in Central Ohio. Offering classes in cosmetology, esthetics and manicuring, the school offers low tuition, flexible “pay as you go” plans and a variety of part-time and full-time schedules that allow students to maintain full-time jobs while still completing their education. More than that, the school consistently integrates opportunities to teach female-focused entrepreneurship classes, integrates advanced customer service techniques and self-pace teaching methods and delivers a message of “be informed, be authentic, embrace success.”

The school is female owned and operated by new mother Larissa Catapano, who named the school after her nine-month-old, first-born son Mason Anthony. “Very simply, we are on a mission! First of all, we saw a significant void in the beauty industry in offering an affordable, flexible education to become a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician or nail technician. I don’t feel price or scheduling issues should ever deter someone for pursuing their passion,” says Catapano. “Additionally, as a female entrepreneur, wife and new mother, my goal with Mason Anthony has always been a low-drama, come-as-you-are place where all individuals (but especially women) can find a place to become empowered, informed and excited about starting and running their own business.” Catapano lets her passion drive her to provide the most comfortable and obtainable experience for those who want to attend her school and discover their individual path to success.

Mason Anthony is unparalleled because it offers frequent start dates and a self-paced learning experience. This allows students to start their journey at times that are convenient to their life while also learning at a rate that works best for them. All students are taught and guided through their schooling by licensed cosmetologists and professionals in the industry. Additionally, Mason Anthony prides itself on interjecting learning and development seminars into the curriculum, as well as guest lectures by local business leaders who may speak on innovative processes, products or techniques. Most notably, however, the school prides itself on capturing every teachable moment and it wouldn’t be rare to see all the students assembled (ad hoc) to capitalize on a real-world exercise in customer experience, personal interactions and overall professionalism.

“Beauty school should be one of the most exciting times in someone’s life and that is why, as instructors, we are dedicated to making this experience as fun, educational and stress-free as we can. The self-paced, entrepreneurial approach we take on education, along with intervention and guidance from instructors, is rare to find when attending beauty school,” says Anna Wend, Senior Instructor and Campus Manager at Mason Anthony.

Mason Anthony is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Individuals interested in starting a career in cosmetology, esthetics or manicuring or who want to schedule a client service, feel free to walk in anytime during business hours at 5405 Roberts Road, Hilliard OH 43026, or visit www.masonanthony.com to schedule a tour or book a service online.
