VALLEJO, Calif. (KRON) — Tesla drivers in Vallejo may want to charge somewhere else after a Supercharger station was vandalized on Sunday. It happened at the Tesla Supercharger at 904 Admiral Callaghan Lane next to Target.

A viral TikTok video (below) shows the aftermath of cables being slashed and stolen from multiple charging stalls. The video has reached nearly 900,000 views on the social media platform.

Tesla charging cables contain copper, which is one of the most valuable metals. According to Forbes, it is “a catalyst for a new era of global economic growth.”

Within the past six months, KRON4 has reported multiple thefts of copper worth thousands of dollars, including in the South Bay and San Pablo.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, eight stalls are out of order at the Admiral Callaghan Lane station, according to the Tesla app (screenshot below). The other Tesla charging station in Vallejo is located about three miles south at 2155 Solano Ave.

Charging cables were reinstalled they were slashed at a Tesla Supercharger in Vallejo on Sunday.
