A lightning strike caused a fire on Friday afternoon that damaged three homes in a Raleigh neighborhood, a Raleigh Fire Department spokesperson says.
Several fire trucks and 75 firefighters were on the scene at Silver View Lane, where smoke and damage can be seen from one of the homes.
A fire department spokesperson said no one was injured, but six people are displaced due to the fire.
A nearby neighbor captured video footage of the fire, showing flames coming from the home.
It took firefighters 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
There were two additional incidents where lightning strikes caused fires at Silver View and Mill Court, and another strike hit a tree on Gunnison. The Gunnison fire displaced two people, prompting the Red Cross to provide assistance.
