Popular X account ThePopTingz claimed that they found a tunnel in Diddy’s home. “the interior has a private theater with capacity for 35 people, a fully equipped gym and a wine room,” they wrote on X. “The most curious thing about the property is an underwater tunnel connected to a grotto inside the luxurious mansion.” Many people on the social media site claimed that it was a tunnel to the Playboy mansion because of its proximity to Diddy’s residence. Other social media posts claimed that the FBI found tunnels underneath Diddy’s home that once connected to a basement at Michael Jackson‘s mansion. A TikTok claimed that his team was nervous, blocked the entrance to his house, and begged them not to enter the tunnel

Did Diddy have tunnels under his mansion?

No, Diddy did not have tunnels under his mansion. Reuters fact-checked a claim that was going around social media where a fabricated image of CNN stated that underground tunnels were found at Diddy’s home. “That is a manipulated image and not something CNN reported,” CNN representative Emily Kuhn said in an email to the news site.

People reported that the Playboy mansion was rumored to have a series of underground tunnels that connected the mansion to other homes in the area, including those of “Mr. J. Nicholson,” “Mr. W. Beatty,” “Mr. K. Douglas” and “Mr. J. Caan.” However, one staff member told the site that the tunnels were “closed up sometime in 1989.”

The site also reported that Diddy listed his Los Angeles home shortly before the arrest. A source close to Diddy said he “lived in Miami as his primary residence for years and always planned to sell the home in L.A. once his daughters grew up and moved out.” The house was listed for $61.5 million and features 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and a two-story guest house.
