The Grand Prairie, a master-planned community from EMBER, debuted in Hockley on April 13 with a community-wide festival called The Grandest Opening.

The event included tours of eight model homes from David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Sitterle Homes, Village Builders and Westin Homes, as well as an array of family-friendly activities for residents and prospective buyers and their families.

“We are thankful for everyone who made today a truly memorable day for the greater community to discover The Grand Prairie and learn all about what makes this place so special,” Sandra Ferguson, director of marketing for EMBER, said in a press release. “The activities offered highlighted our commitment to delivering a nature-focused community, and we are all incredibly proud of the turnout and high interest in the various residential opportunities offered.”

Homes in The Grand Prairie range from the upper $200,000s to over $600,000. Nearly 500 homes are expected to be completed by spring of next year.
