As a busy working mom, I’ve been leaning on online grocery delivery for several years. I can often shop from an app while on the couch, it makes stocking up on basics so easy, gives me access to more products than I would have at my local store, and helps me stay within my budget (I know I’m not the only one to be surprised by my total in the checkout line after adding a few too many splurges to my cart when shopping in-store).
When the pandemic hit, I was glad to have quite a bit of experience with online grocery delivery services under my belt. I used nearly every service available in my area in California and didn’t step foot in a grocery store from March 2020 until May 2021.
I’ve had a few years of testing online grocery deliveries (same as many other Kitchn editors), so here are eight services we’ve collectively used and loved.
