[ad_1]
After 2020 people are becoming more aware of what’s important in their lives and finding what their true passions are. People are adopting more of a spiritual path and aligning themselves with their higher selves or even finding their higher selves. This can lead to a spiritual awakening when you start asking yourself really hard-hitting questions and facing some hard truths. How you answer these questions can lead to a powerful transformation.
What is a spiritual awakening?
A spiritual awakening is a call to a higher consciousness and deeper mental awareness. Spiritual awakening begins the moment a person can step back and awake to their life with a new sense of being in this world.1
What is a spiritual awakening like?
It depends on your mindset and what triggered it. It can be scary or something that is beautiful. A spiritual awakening makes you think about who you really are, and why you are here. This is why a beautiful moment is when you find your true desires and your true being. You get to rediscover your true self and calling.
What Causes a spiritual awakening?
Really anything can happen from losing a job, having kids, moving to a new area, or a car accident. Most happen from a life-changing or traumatic event like the pandemic had a lot of people re-evaluating their lives and their goals. Mine came when I was deep into depression and fighting to get out (read the full story here). I know people who had gotten divorced and decided to change their lives in a blink of an eye all due to their awakening. 3
How To Know You’re Having Awakening
- You feel disconnected from life and the things that you used to enjoy.
- You’ve re-evaluated your beliefs. You can find a new religion, and find new passions in life.
- Your relationships change, you might feel as if your friends/family don’t understand you or are on the same wavelength as you.
- You become more intuitive.
- You can sense inauthenticity and manipulation because your intuition is heightened. You can sense when people don’t have integrity.
- You realized everyone is on their own path and can accept that you’re no longer interested in debating or convincing other people of your views.
- You’re more connected with the natural world. 2
Stages Of a Spiritual Awakening
The veil is lifted and the call is heard – You have an event in your life that makes you look at your life or the world differently. It shakes what you thought the world was and makes you see the world through new eyes. You’re ready to live a bit more unconventionally. Once your eyes are opened you can’t undo it, you can’t unhear the higher calling.
Choosing A new path – Now that you’ve been exposed to a new world view you are on that journey. This can be exciting or scary, it can be unsettling to have your worldviews, sense of self ideologies, etc all called into question. You are looking for answers to questions you’re not sure about.
Now you’re set to find a new way of life, traditions, and philosophy, and map out a new worldview. This is when you’re thirsty for knowledge and diving into a whole new world. There are no set rules for discovering your new path. You have to do what feels right for you and helps you grow spiritually and mentally.
Discover yourself – This is something that can take months or even years. It’s the ‘true you’ coming out of your shell. Now is the perfect time to try more things, routines, and rituals. Meditate with yourself and talk to your future self. Ask yourself often, does this lead me to happiness or does this align with your true self?
Awareness, Acceptance, and Service – The last stage is full awareness of your divinity, light, and love. Your ego doesn’t control you and you want to put your light into the world. You do this by living in your truth, doing your passion, and honoring your joy. You’ve committed yourself to happiness and you want to uplift joy. 4
