Two truck drivers were arrested in relation to the smuggling attempt of more than $860,000 in cocaine at the World Trade Bridge, authorities said.

Reynaldo Ollervides-Rodriguez, a Mexican citizen, arrived in a white tractor-trailer at the World Trade Bridge at about 6 p.m. Feb. 9. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred him to secondary inspection.

An X-ray scan of the tractor revealed several anomalies within the interior roof of the tractor cab. In addition, a K-9 unit alerted to possible contraband within the vehicle. CBP officers then discovered 27 bundles of cocaine, states the arrest affidavit.
