Work is an incredibly important part of our lives. We spend a large portion of our time doing it, and it is often the way we define ourselves and our identities. Think about it, when you meet someone new, it is always the second question you ask after their name. But the stress of work can quickly become overwhelming. And as reluctant as we are to do so, it is vital to take time off to care for our mental health.

And no, you’re not useful if you’re away, but how useful will you be if you have a full-on breakdown? Or end up so anxious you can’t even leave your home? Occasional breaks prevent these things from happening, so the choice is obvious.
