  • These New $65 H&M Ballet Flats Are as Chic as the $950 Designer Pair I Want

These New $65 H&M Ballet Flats Are as Chic as the $950 Designer Pair I Want

If you’re like me, I’m sure you agree that the best shoe trends are flat shoe trends. They’re certainly the ones I wear the most, as someone who lives in the South and works from home full time. As you can imagine, the fact that one of the biggest shoe trends of the season is a flat one is very exciting to me, and that trend is ballet flats.

I quickly jumped on the satin Miu Miu Ballerinas trend a few months ago and now I can’t stop thinking of a Prada pair that came out before the holidays (and is now almost sold out). They’re made of soft Nappa leather and they feature everyone’s favorite triangle logo nestled on an otherwise classic ballet flat. They’re $950 worth of perfection.

I know—$950 is a lot of money no matter how you look at it, and since my size in the Prada pair is sold out anyway, you can imagine my excitement when I came across another classic pair of ballet flats on H&M today. Like the Prada pair, they’re made of soft, flexible leather and have a delicate bow. The Prada triangle may be absent but they sure do look expensive for $65.

I have a hunch that these will be one of those H&M items that sell out quickly, so keep scrolling to shop the flats before they do, along with some of my other favorite affordable ballet flats.

  • The Worst Shoes for Your Feet, According to a Doctor

The Worst Shoes for Your Feet, According to a Doctor

While Dr. Khorramian named ballet flats as the most common shoes to cause foot-related issues, he explained that other unsupportive or painful styles are also worth avoiding. “Flip-flops can cause a lot of injuries,” he stated. “Pointy shoes can also cause corns and blisters because of the lack of circulation to the toes.”

Some of the most unsupportive shoes for your feet include classic ballet flats, flip-flops, pointed shoes, and precarious heels. So what are the best ways to protect your feet? “Always buy shoes that are cushiony underneath the soles of the feet and have enough toe room,” said Khorramian. And if you are planning to wear shoes with little support or high heels, he recommends carrying a larger bag where you can easily swap to comfortable shoes. “If you must wear heels, avoid wearing them while you’re driving, for long periods of time, and while walking.”

This Is the #1 Flat-Shoe Trend Right Now, and I Love These 24 Pairs the Most

    [ad_1]

Like many of you, I’ve retired most of my heels in recent years for, well, obvious reasons. Comfort is now my top priority when getting dressed, and I’m especially discerning when it comes to which shoes I’m going to wear. It’s no surprise then to see that a number of comfortable (but still very chic) flat-shoe trends have emerged this year. The number one among them? Loafers. Maybe it’s because they add a polished vibe to any outfit, maybe it’s because they’re practical and easy to wear, or maybe it’s because they’re a perennial favorite that will never really go out of style. Whichever the reason, they’re the dominating flat-shoe trend of the moment, and I’m so here for it.

If you’ve been eyeing the trend but haven’t found a pair you love just yet, then look no further than the 24 best pairs of loafers for women that I’ve pulled together here. I’ve curated a selection from some of my favorite retailers, and the styles range from on-trend chunky loafers to pretty chain-embellished loafers and classic penny loafers. In other words, you’re sure to find a pair you love, no matter your taste, budget, or any other factor. I know I’ve already fallen in love with each of these.

Simply continue on to see why these are my favorite loafers of all, and get inspired by a few outfit ideas along the way.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Has Been Wearing These Controversial Flats to Walk Around NYC

Jennifer Lawrence Has Been Wearing These Controversial Flats to Walk Around NYC

    [ad_1]

When one typically thinks of “controversial” walking shoes, they think of heels, but I’m here to throw a bit of a curve ball in the form of Jennifer Lawrence. NYC resident Lawrence is quite often seen out and about strolling the city blocks, just like any of her fellow New Yorkers. And when it comes to footwear, she’s fairly practical, often favoring sneakers and flats by The Row.

In keeping with her theme, the new flats that Lawrence has been wearing lately are, in fact, from The Row, and they go by the name the Ozzy Slippers. The form-fitting slippers, which she was photographed wearing twice over the weekend, hug the foot and expose the outline of the toes, water shoe style. And while they don’t provide a ton of walking support with their thin sole, they sure are chic, and I’m sure any minimalist would consider them to be a dream shoe.

The Ozzy Flats are currently available for pre-order with a December delivery estimate, but in the meantime, I found a few similar pairs that will tide you over. Scroll to shop them along with The Row’s Ozzy Flats, JLaw’s new favorite walking shoes.
