    Mena must’ve caught the frenzy she stirred after sharing an initial spicy clip with Bibbs during the late hours of Monday, January 26, because on Tuesday, January 27, she returned to Instagram, seemingly making it clear that Bibbs is hers. Furthermore, Mena shared a carousel post, which featured 12 slides. The first slide showed her posing in front of the white Rolls-Royce seen in the initial clip with her and Bibbs. However, the second slide featured the photo of them kissing while Bibbs held her up by her bum in his arms.

    Additionally, another slide showed them sharing a kiss in slow motion, while the following slide showed her cradling his neck as she leaned her body on him. Ultimately, the carousel concluded with a clip of them holding hands and walking, and a text post that reads, “Life so private nobody knows that someone’s son is turning me into a lover girl again.”

At the time, it was unclear how locked in she and Bibbs were. But that didn’t stop social media users from gushing over their apparent chemistry.

At this time, it appears Safaree has not publicly reacted to his ex-wife’s new chapter, as it appears his Instagram has been Instagram and what seems to be his official Twitter account has not addressed the update.

    Erica Mena is seemingly taking steps to rehab her image after she and Safaree Samuels recently dragged each other online. Ultimately, she shared a statement about being committed to ending internet tussles with her children’s father, especially for the benefit of Safire and Legend. Most recently, she shared a video of her and their kids singing along to gospel music.

    Erica Mena Bonds With Her Babies 

    Mena shared the family praise moment on Instagram, adding “way maker” in the caption. She, Safire, and Legend appeared in matching brown Gucci pajamas. She and the kids sang and danced to a song by Leeland. Erica appeared fresh-faced and smiling despite the shade exchanged between her and her ex-husband. Both kids also appeared cheerful and happy.     A Recap Of Her Internet Tussle With Safaree Samuels 

    After Erica Mena publicly criticized Safaree for requesting to lower his child support payment, he clapped back with a YouTube explanation. He addressed her allegations of being a deadbeat dad who didn’t want to spend time with his kids.

    Additionally, he shared home surveillance footage of an incident in which Erica Mena appeared to be blocking him from leaving a home. Meanwhile, their two kids stood nearby watching. Another video shows Mena using a ladder to climb over Safaree’s gate and bang on his glass door.

    He further claimed that he had attempted to get a restraining order against his ex-wife. In response, Erica accused Samuels of “begging” her to “take [him] back” outside of her house in May.

     

    Less than 24 hours later, she followed up by releasing a video of Safire claiming that her father mistreated her brother Legend. “Daddy kick him, my brother with two legs, then he throws him around,” Safire said in a now-deleted video that Erica shared on Instagram.

    “I’ve been sparing him for so long! His triggering violating BS he has been doing for 3 years,” Mena wrote in the deleted post’s caption. Adding, “To only show my reaction to your actions but failing to tell what it is you about behind closed doors is textbook narcissist at its finest. For Safire to speak so clear on the things that you do and tell her baby brother, saying that Legend isn’t your son, which is probably why you thought of mistreating him in your home since he was a baby with no one around. How could you forget all these parts?”

    After exposing the video of Safire’s allegations, which Samuels has yet to comment on, Erica released her statement about taking a chill pill and letting the courts do their job.

    Here’s What Erica Mena Said To Ray J & How He Responded To Her Allegedly Being “Racist”

    On Thursday, August 22, Ray J took to Instagram to share a screen recording of a video initially shared by Instagram user @realitytv_blogspot. Furthermore, the clip features Mena yelling emphatically at her phone and is titled, “Woah! Erica Mena drops the ‘N-word’ while Dragging Ray J, PRINCESS LOVE, BRANDY…”

    “Talk your s**t lil n***a,” Mena says, apparently while streaming on Instagram Live. “I probably wasn’t supposed to say that… Stop playing with me. All of y’all motherf******s. I’m not on that…”

    Ray J added a few words on top of the video of Mena: “HERE YOU GO BEING RACIST AGAIN! YOU STILL AIN’T LEARNED TO BE RESPECTFUL TO THE CULTURE”

    Additionally, he added a caption where he shared a direct message for the reality star.

    “Why call me the N word! @ericamena – after the racist Monkey comment you made about black people, you just felt like you could take it to the next level and call me a N***a huh?? SMH,” he wrote. “…when you make mistakes and take a L – you suppose to Learn from them. This is not cool”

    Before concluding his message, Ray J noted that Mena’s ex-husband and father of her youngest children, Safaree, is his friend. Additionally, he stated that he doesn’t “get into [it]” with his friend’s partners or former partners.

    “we shooting our own shows and living life to the fullest!! – God bless you… why we got you so mad? Damn!…” he wrote.

    Erica Mena Previously Came Under Fire For A Comment She Made Toward Spice

    As The Shade Room previously reported, Mena came under heavy backlash in August 2023. At the time, a ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ episode was aired, which showed Mena referring to her castmate, Spice, as a “blue monkey” during a heated exchange.

    In the weeks that followed, Spice spoke out about the altercation and let fans know that she wasn’t letting Mena’s “opinion” of her devalue her.

    “…Someone’s opinion of me does not value who I am and not because someone thinks something of me, that doesn’t mean that’s who I am,” Spice explained during an interview with Forbes.

    During the conversation, Spice also addressed Mena’s apparent diss of dark-skinned women.

    “I’ve always reminded my melanated women how beautiful they are, to love themselves [for] who they are [so] someone can’t come and say a few words,” she said. “…That doesn’t define me. I know who I am.”

    In September of that year, Mena publicly apologized for her comment about Spice, per The Shade Room. Additionally, she alleged that her words were not “racially driven.”

    “I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness,” she told TMZ at the time. “My choice of words was wrong, and I take full responsibility for what I said. I am committed to listening to the voices of those affected and will work toward making amends. As a woman of color and the mother of two black children, I want to make it clear that my use of that word was not in any way racially driven.”

    Erica Mena opened up about “taking accountability” for her #LHHATL “monkey” moment, but Spice clapped back at her “victim mentality,” claiming the actress “just got caught on camera that day.”

    On Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, he gave her a platform to address the controversy. While claiming to take responsibility for using the racist slur against a Black woman mid-argument, Erica teared up once again about offending “women of color.”

    “I learned for the first time in all the years of reality TV that my actions have a lot more of an impact than I ever thought it had. And I’m disappointed in the fact that I let down women of color who felt that I was speaking in that manner,” the 36-year-old explained.

    However, Erica’s supposed apology still managed to put the blame on Spice and LHH producers. She claims calling the Jamaican star a “blue monkey” would make more sense with the full context of their argument leading up to it.

    “I do wish that more of her actions were shown so the audience had a better understanding of what provoked me to actually say that initial comment,” Erica deflected.

    “At the same time, I’m taking my accountability,” she continued. “Regardless of what she was doing, I really wholeheartedly feel that it was just all wrong in the choice of words. I just wasn’t expecting her as a single mom to go for the jugular of using my kids to kind of like attack me.”

    Some comments on The Shade Room post about it agreed with Erica that addressing her motherhood and children meant all bets were off. Others thought Erica was too comfortable around Black people while still displaying anti-Black bias more than once.

    Considering most of her audience is Black, that was a wild choice for a low blow, and fed up fans demanded serious consequences. As BOSSIP previously reported, backlash over the “blue monkey” melee led to Erica’s firing from LHHATL after more than 15 years with the franchise. She also lost her acting gig on the ALL BLK series Hush.

    While others quickly forgave, this latest apology wasn’t enough for the woman Erica Mena wished had died during her near-fatal surgical complications. Spice entered the chat to clap back about Erica’s “victim mentality” and history of colorist comments. She responded to the interview clips in the replies to The Shade Room’s post.

    “Girl bye, at least you confessed that you requested to speak to me, because on a normal day you couldn’t sit at my table because I been knew you think you’re better than dark skin girls. I heard how you spoke about me behind my back, you just got caught on Camera that day,” Spice wrote.

    The Dancehall star added that her own actions during the argument don’t explain Erica’s track record. Spice pointed out that her reality TV rival previously used “black monkey” to refer to another Black woman.” She also slammed the former video vixen’s excuses for her actions. “No one can’t provoke you to say racial slurs,” Spice added.

    “Take me out of the equation since you still have a Victim mentality in our situation. What was the reason you called the promoters in Miami Black animals and monkey, why did you call Johnni Blaze a black monkey?(Everything is on Google),” the singer continued.

    “You brought your own son to the conversation, and you came to that table to talk about Amara’s twins, no one can’t provoke you to say racial slurs. Remember ‘You are a repeated offender’ you have no remorse for a culture that put millions of [dollars] in your pocket. You could have said anything but you chose to disrespect a whole Nation. Interviews are not therapy but Carry on,” she concluded.

    Welp, Erica might have found forgiveness elsewhere, but Spice is clearly ready to let the chopper sing about the situation.
