Swarovski, the Austrian jeweler known for its crystalline elegance, has rolled out its holiday 2023 campaign, a celestial spectacle that’s more than just eye candy. Photographed by the legendary Steven Meisel, the campaign features models like Diane Chiu, Karolina Spakowski, Mila van Eeten, Nyawurh Chuol, and Sora Choi.

Each model brings to life a dynamic character—Hyperbola Nebula, Punk Luna, Matrix Supernova, Mesmera Stardust, and Blue Gema—blending inspiration from space and high-octane aesthetics. These characters are personifications of some of Swarovski’s most iconic collections over the years.

Each one stands out in its own unique way, but they all share an underlying essence like a crystal cut to cast a kaleidoscope of shimmering lights. Dressed in either black or a festive green top styled by Karl Templer, the models serve as the perfect canvas for the lines of jewelry, which include everything from bracelets and watches to cocktail rings and earrings.

Swarovski’s creative director, Giovanna Engelbert, is the maestro behind this cosmic ballet, ensuring that each piece stands out. The beauty aspect is equally captivating, with hairstylist Guido Palau and makeup legend Pat McGrath adding their own layers of magic.

Palau crafts the models’ tresses into slicked-back styles, while McGrath adorns their faces with crystals, making them almost otherworldly. This campaign is a standout, much like Swarovski’s previous thematic ventures, including the transformative Metamorphosis ad and the glitter-adorned Valentine’s Day campaign.
