Trendy White Tops for Summer & Spring

When you think of the perfect spring or summer outfit, what comes to mind? For us, a beautiful, crisp white top pops into our heads! Erin loves styling trendy white tops and blouses with a pair of denim shorts or jeans during the spring and summer because it’s such a simple, stylish outfit formula. Below, we’re sharing 5 new white tops Erin recently added to her wardrobe for a spring/summer refresh.

#1) Farm Rio Ruffled Puff Sleeve Blouse

First up is this gorgeous Farm Rio blouse. One of the spring/summer trends this year includes anything with feminine details…and this top is full of them! It has pretty puff sleeves, ruffled trim throughout the front, and a frilly hemline. It’s 100% cotton so it’s super lightweight and breathable, but the sleeves still keep your arms covered if that’s a concern. Oh, and the best part is that it’s only $150! Considering the quality of Farm Rio’s pieces, it’s a wonderful price point! It runs true to size.

Erin styled the top with a pair of R13 denim shorts, but you could easily wear this top with your favorite pair of denim. These shorts have a cool criss-cross front, 3.5” inseam, 15” front rise, and roomy legs for the ultimate flattering fit! They’re a little pricey but we share more affordable options in the following looks as well. These shorts run a little big so Erin sized down one size.

Erin completed the look with a cute beaded bag by Staud that’s such a fun accessory for spring/summer and a pair of See by Chloe brown platform sandals she’s owned for years and pulls out when the temps warm up.

#2) Hevron Cropped Short-Sleeve Button-Down Top

This top by Hevron is such a cool basic-with-a-twist. If you already have a classic button-down shirt in your closet, this top would be a wonderful new addition. It has concealed buttons down the front, it’s cotton poplin so it’s super lightweight and doesn’t wrinkle easily, and it has a cool button tab cuffed short sleeves. The fit is more of a cropped, straight fit that’s body-skimming (not fitted) and very flattering. It runs true to size.

Erin styled it with a pair of new denim shorts by Pistola. They have about a 3” inseam, which is a great length for Erin at 5’4”. We love the light distressing at the hem and flattering high-rise. The legs are a little roomier so they’re very flattering. They run true to size. She completed the look with a brown suede belt and some beige wedge sandals. But you could easily wear this with sneakers for a more casual look.

#3) Sold Out NYC Shoulder Pad Muscle Tee

This cool tee by Sold Out NYC is another great basic to refresh your spring/summer wardrobe. It’s one of those super versatile tops you can dress up or down. We’re showing you a second way to style it more casually below 😉 The tee has light padding in the shoulder and interesting stitching details. It runs true to size. Erin styled it with a pair of structured beige shorts and the matching blazer by Bronx & Banco. We love the logo belt that adds some drama and the super structured shoulders on the blazer. She completed the look with platform heels and a raffia clutch. You could wear this outfit to a party or event for a cool, unexpected look.

With Jeans

You can easily dress down the tee by styling it with a pair of jeans or denim shorts. You can see that Erin’s wearing a classic pair of minimally distressed, straight-leg jeans with the tee in this look and it’s equally as chic. You could add a pair of sandals for sneakers for a simple spring/summer outfit to run errands or grab coffee or lunch.

#4) Staud Asymmetrical Top

How cool is this asymmetrical top by Staud?! It’s such a statement-making top that’s unexpected and unique. It’s a dressier white top for spring/summer but it would be perfect for dinner or GNO. It has an asymmetrical hem and shoulders, draped cowl neck, a tie waist, and an open side. We love the one exposed shoulder for adding a little sexiness. It’s a cotton poplin material that’s very lightweight and breathable. It runs true to size. Erin styled it with a pair of denim pants by Veronica Beard that she bought last fall but easily transitioned to spring and summer. She completed the look with the same See by Chloe platforms from #1.

#5) Velvet Open Knit Pullover

This last piece is something you’ll wear mostly during the spring, but depending on the climate where you live, you should be able to wear it into summer as well. It’s a beautiful open-knit pullover by Velvet that’s super lightweight. We love the length of the sleeves, trendy preppy collar, open knit fabric, and ribbed hem. This would be a wonderful piece to take on vacation or wear with denim for pretty much any casual occasion you have. It runs true to size. Erin styled it with the same Pistola denim shorts from look #2. She bought the shorts in classic blue denim and white so you can see this sweater styled with both above! She completed both looks with beige wedges, but you could easily swap them for flat sandals, sneakers, or whatever you prefer.
