(KRON) – San Francisco’s Mission District restaurant, Lazy Bear, has earned its first Wine Spectator’s Grand Award.
Per Lazy Bear’s website, the eatery is a modern American dinner party. Its 32-seat dining room has a cabin-in-the-woods feel with nostalgic objects, according to Wine Spectator.
According to Wine Spectator, Lazy Bear has an open kitchen and customers are encouraged to engage with the staff. There are small vintage kettles to pour bouillon on dishes as a part of the dining experience.
Lazy Bear has a variety of pricey wines that originate from areas of California. According to Wine Spectator, the restaurant has almost every vintage wine of Corison Napa Valley from the early to mid-2000s and a collection of Dunn Vineyards Napa Valley. The eatery also has collections of Ravenswood and Ridge Zinfandels from the 1990s and much more.
The restaurant is located at 3416 19th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. According to Lazy Bear’s website, the restaurant is closed for a brief renovation and is slated to reopen in September.
