Several suspects stuff bags with unpaid items in SF Walgreens burglary

(KRON) – Stolen merchandise hit the floor as suspected burglars stuffed their bags with the unpaid items at a Walgreens in Outer Sunset on Saturday night, according to authorities. A part of the burglary was caught on camera by a citizen. 

At 7:57 p.m. on Saturday, San Francisco Police Department officers responded to a burglary at Walgreens in the 2000 block of Irving Street. Police were informed that multiple suspects entered the store, damaged store property and stole store merchandise before fleeing the scene. 

In a video posted on X, more than half a dozen people in hooded sweatshirts and masks filled their bags and bookbags up with several items without paying. Items fell to the floor due to the suspects overstuffing their bags with unpaid merchandise.

A man who may have been an employee was on the phone kicking merchandise back into the store, in the video. 

There have not been any reported injuries in the case, according to SFPD.

San Francisco PD said there have not been any arrests in the burglary and the case is open.
