Selena Gomez was in Paris this weekend after attending Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour on Friday night at the Stade de France. Photographers snapped some shots of the pop star stopping to pose with fans around the city, smiling for selfies and saying hello. For the concert, she wore an oversized, long black leather trench coat with matching black heels and had her hair slicked back into a bun. She wore it again on Saturday night for dinner, when she encountered her admirers on the street.
Beyoncé is enough of a reason to be in Paris, but the star was also shooting her upcoming film Emilia Perez with French filmmaker Jacques Audiard. The musical comedy stars telenovela icon Karla Sofia Gascón. Variety reports that the film also features Zoe Saldana, and principal photographer was set to start this spring. Gomez has been acting more lately, starring in the Hulu hit Only Murders In the Building across from comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short.
She told Deadline that the show was pitched to her and she got super excited because of her real life obsession with true crime stories.
“They pitched me the idea and it led into a whole conversation about my actual obsession with true crime,” she said. “I had just come back from CrimeCon when I had the call and it just felt like it was something I really wanted to do. They were all so lovely. And working with Steve and Marty would be a dream.”
Gomez attended the Beyoncé concert with actor Edgar Ramírez, but it’s been rumored that she is starting a relationship with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. In March, a source told Page Six that they briefly dated almost ten years ago, and they’ve been spotted together this year. Malik broke up with Gigi Hadid, the mother of his daughter Khai, in October of 2021.
