Royal Family at Badminton Horse Trials, 1954

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Prince William of Gloucester joined the Queen Mother and  Princess Margaret at the Badminton Horse Trials on this day in 1954, 70 years ago, on the Duke of Beaufort’s Badminton Estate.

The then Duke of Beaufort was married to Lady Mary Cambridge, a niece of Queen Mary, and the entire Royal Family stayed with them at the magnificent Badminton House during the Badminton Horse Trials.
