Royal Ascot 2024 | Day 3

It’s that time of year again! The British Royal Family attended the third day of races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 20th. Royal Ascot is a permanent fixture on the British Royal Family’s June calendar and the late Queen attended all five days of the horse-racing event for over 70 years. This year, Royal Ascot follows Order of the Garter Service and Trooping the Colour.

A Royal Procession of four carriages traveled from Windsor Castle to the Ascot Racecourse in horse-drawn landaus, before the Royal Family and their guests spent the day in the Royal Enclosure. King Charles III and Queen Camilla will award The Gold Cup, while the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will present The Ribblesdale stakes.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Delhi Carved Emerald Brooch) were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire in the First Carriage.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were joined by the Earl of Snowdon and Princess Zahra Aga Khan in the Second Carriage.

In the Third Carriage, The Princess Royal (in the late Queen’s Three-Strand Pearl Necklace) and Sir Timothy Laurence were joined by Lady Sarah (wearing Princess Margaret’s Diamond Star Earrings and Star Brooch) and Daniel Chatto.
